I had fun making these. I was hoping for some simple shorts—and I mean really shorts, for putting in as “extras.” Ed and I agreed on a name called “Novelets” for any story that was less than five pages. So I set out to do a series based on ill-fated fortunes. Having the story plot spelled out at the beginning made it a whole lot easier to accomplish the task of doing such a mini-story. There is not much “meat-n-potatoes” to these stories. A character name Lu Chan apparently owns a Chinese food service that delivers more than cuisine—the cookies are fatal. From there, you pretty much wait for the fortune to be carried out usually in a way not quite expected. Some of these can be funny, some not, but all of them our pretty simple. They’ll make their appearances from time to time.
